Privacy
This site has one enquiry form. When you use it, we use the information you provide to reply and, where relevant, discuss or deliver a project. There is no advertising, analytics or behaviour tracking on olivecore.net.
The short version
- We collect the details you enter into the enquiry form.
- We use them to answer your enquiry and do not automatically add you to a mailing list.
- We do not sell, rent or share enquiry data for somebody else's marketing.
- There is no analytics or advertising tracking on this website.
- You can ask what we hold, ask for corrections and ask us to delete information we no longer need.

When anyone visits
The web server records technical information used to serve and protect the site, including IP address, requested URL, timestamp and browser user-agent. IP addresses may also be processed briefly for rate limiting and abuse prevention on the enquiry form. We do not use server logs to build an advertising or behavioural profile.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
We normally process enquiry details under our legitimate interests in responding to a business enquiry you chose to send and keeping an appropriate record of the conversation. Where an enquiry becomes a project, processing may also be necessary for a contract or for steps taken at your request before entering one.
Technical and security information is processed under our legitimate interest in keeping the service available, secure and resistant to abuse.
Who else processes it
Enquiries are delivered by email using SendGrid, a Twilio service acting as a processor. Your message therefore passes through Twilio's systems on its way to us. Twilio's Data Protection Addendum sets out the contractual safeguards it uses for international transfers, including the applicable UK transfer mechanism and standard contractual clauses where required. Read Twilio's Data Protection Addendum.
The website is hosted on a server in the United Kingdom. Beyond our hosting and email providers, we do not share enquiry information unless it is necessary to provide the requested service, you ask us to, or the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We review enquiry correspondence annually. Enquiries that did not lead to a project are normally deleted within 24 months. Where an enquiry becomes a project, relevant records are retained for the life of the work and for any legal, accounting, insurance or support obligation that follows.
Cookies and information stored on your device
A page containing the enquiry form uses a strictly necessary anti-forgery cookie. It helps prove that a submission came from this site rather than a third party attempting to misuse the form. It is used for security, not tracking, and no consent banner is required for a strictly necessary cookie.
The site also stores display preferences — theme, text size, contrast and selected presentation — in your browser's local storage. The site's own JavaScript reads those values locally to restore your choices. They are not sent to our server as part of normal page viewing, and clearing browser data removes them.
There is no Google Analytics, advertising pixel, session-recording service or browser fingerprinting on olivecore.net. Runtime assets are served locally rather than loaded from third-party content-delivery networks.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you may have the right to:
- ask what personal information we hold and obtain a copy;
- have inaccurate information corrected;
- ask us to delete information we no longer need;
- ask us to restrict processing while a concern is resolved;
- object where we rely on legitimate interests;
- and receive information you supplied in a portable form where the law applies.
To exercise a right, email talk@neooptic.com. We normally respond within one month and do not charge unless a request is manifestly unfounded or excessive.
If you are unhappy
Please contact us first so we can investigate. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK's data-protection regulator, through ico.org.uk or by calling 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this notice
If the way we handle information changes, we will update this notice and the date at the top.
